Subject: 9483/BUDGET ORD AMENDMENT NO. 1 Date: Tue, 6 Nov 1990 14:53:00 -0500 ORDINANCE NO. 9483 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 9423, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE REVENUE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1990, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1991, AND APPROPRIATING SAME TO THE PAYMENT OF EXPENSES OF THE MUN- ICIPAL GOVERNMENT; FIXING THE RATE OF TAXA- TION ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE CITY, AND THE TIME TAXES AND PRIVILEGES ARE DUE, HOW THEY SHALL BE PAID, WHEN THEY SHALL BE- COME DELINQUENT; AND PROVIDING FOR INTEREST AND PENALTY ON DELINQUENT TAXES AND PRIVI- LEGES," SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN CHANGES IN THE PERSONNEL POSITIONS SET OUT IN SECTION 7(c); AND TO SET FORTH THE BUDGET OF THE IN- TERCEPTOR SEWER SYSTEM. That there be and is hereby established within the Department of Safety (Fire) the designation of Relief Driver. A relief driver is defined as a firefighter private who is certi- fied by the Chief of Training and the Fire Chief as one who is qualified to drive fire apparatus and operate any attendant hydraulic (pump) systems. Relief drivers shall recieve a supplement of $25.00 bi-weekly. That this Ordinance shall be operative, as distinguished from its effective date, on and after July 1, 1990. SECTION 5. That if any section, sentence, word, or figures contained in this Ordinance should be declared invalid by a final decree of a court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the remaining sections, sentences, words, or figures con- tained in this Ordinance, but the same shall remain in full force and effect.
